Eight Straight

November 16, 2009

Temple clinched another victory this weekend, despite a tough first quarter against Akron. The Owls are still undefeated in the MAC with eight straight wins.

Coming off a whopping 56 – 17 win, Temple will take on Kent State in its last home game of the season this Saturday. Tickets are as low as $10 when you bring a canned good for our food drive. It’s employee appreciation day, so I’ll be there rooting on the Owls.  It’s also take a kid to the game day – when you purchase an end zone ticket, you can get a child’s ticket for just $5.

In other football news, voting is now taking place for Liberty Mutual’s Coach of the Year. Vote Golden today, and every day. If he wins, Temple will get $20,000 for the Alumni Association and Coach Golden will earn $50,000 to donate to a charity of his choice.

For those of you already looking forward to next season, here’s the latest from one of our favorite D.C. alumni, Dave Yanovitz:

Check out Washington Post reporter B.J. Koubaroulis interviewing Temple football recruit Connor Reilly, a quarterback for W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Va. who who helped lead his team to a first-round victory in the Virginia AAA Northern Region playoffs.
